Hello all! Hope your holidays were everything you hoped for, and that your new year is blessed and full of all of the people and things you love the most!!
I'm looking forward to the coming year...one big reason is that our only child, our beautiful daughter, Kristen, is engaged to be married, and the wedding will be in December!
The future Mr. & Mrs. Hewitt! (and our grandpuppy, Jersey)
So much to do, but we'll get it done. I know the time will fly, so it's list making time (we're both list makers, right Kristen??? - ha ha!!).
Over the Christmas holiday, we traveled to Tampa (loved the warm weather), and Kristen and I were able to go wedding dress shopping (and hit a few antique stores too!). The bridal boutique was called Malindy Elene.- such a beautiful place, and wedding dresses galore. After two trips, Kristen found the dress of her dreams...(I've got pics, but can't reveal!!). It is magical, and we both knew it was THE one when she walked out in it - I had "mom" tears, and for her, it was love at first sight too!
So many dresses..........what's a bride-to-be to do???
So, now it's on to other details. I'll be making the bouquet for her and the wedding party - button bouquets with mother-of-pearl buttons, vintage lace, etc...simple and elegant! (Will share a few pics when I get some done.) Also putting together gift bags for the bridesmaids. Fun, fun!!
And...for the new year, Terri and I are hoping to do a couple new shows, as well as our 2nd Annual Vintage Market Day (which will be the last Saturday of June), in addition to our regular stops at the Springfield Extravaganza in May and September, and Artiscape in Columbus (in April).
And our annual girls' trip will be the World's Longest Yard Sale in August (starting in Ohio and heading south into Tennessee!!).
We're getting ready to organize our storage space (yikes...kind of a scary thought); sorting through the remainder of our clock inventory, and going through the furniture, etc., that has been piling up the past few months!
Well, I think that's enough for now - it'll keep us busy for sure!!
Take care and stay warm...(is winter over yet???)!
Thanks for stopping by and happy junking!
Kathy
