All through my basement…
There was so much to be finished and packed, that I don’t know where the days went…
And, of course, that’s kind of the story of this junkin/sellin life!
I know there are a lot of you out there in the same boat…which we have joyfully climbed into I might add!! After getting through all the busyness and excitement of a holiday show (and hopefully lots of “sellin”) – I’ll be happy to enjoy the rest of Christmas, and the reason for the season. A girls’ day out with 15 of my closest friends in a week (now, doesn’t that sound heavenly???), and then preparing for our daughter and son-in-law (and grandpuppy) to come home for Christmas – can’t wait – we might have to keep them (wink wink…just being a “mom”)!! Love it all!!
I know it’s kind of spur of the moment, but wanted to send out an invite to:
The 36th Annual
Ontario Community Craft Show
Saturday, December 1, 2012
8:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. at the Richland County Fairgrounds (Mansfield, Ohio)
Over 70 talented crafters and artists – and we’re in spaces #48 and #49 in the Arts & Crafts building. This is a fabulous show, and we’re excited to be a part of it again this year (our third year)! Most of the shows we do are out of town, so it’s fun to do a local show and see familiar faces…and we don’t have to drive very far – that’s definitely a plus!
Here are a few pics of what I’m bringing…but Terri and Susan both have a bunch of wonderful things for sale too…Terri’s cuff bracelets and vintage upcycled treasures, and Susan’s fabulous reclaimed wood frames (and more) – with lots of vintage embellishments and hardware! It’s going to be holiday beautifulness!!!
OK…here we go…
I put together wreaths (old baby buggy wheels upcycled), with kind of a cottagey-primitive look. I love them, and have sold two of them already!
Vintage baby shoes – whining to become useful once again – ok…a little Christmas tree and sparkle were definitely in order!
Pine cones…they’re everywhere – in trees…on the ground… Add an old wooden spindle and make them frosty and sparkly – ta da…Christmas trees.
Stacks of raggedy books, painted and embellished.
Don’t ya just love the three little angels??? Sorry, sold already!
More stuff…rag trees, and some jingle bells – very old…but there’s still some jingle left in those old bells!!
Tin cans – definitely upcycled into a prettier life!
And, what would Christmas be without a game of Scrabble - or pieces of a Scrabble game???
This is what our cash drawer will be doing on Saturday!!
A couple of “stars” of the show…
An old tray (painted to cover some very “ugly” floral graphics…), and now it’ll be a great “reminder” for some lucky customer – and a place to share some fun memories!
Gotta have a few signs too!
Junk jewelry for the girls (and some OSU fans too)…
Sparkles and rust – great combo!
And…for all my junkin’ friends…
The one on the left is going to be mine for a “while”…just love it!
Isn’t this sweet – a dog license from 1953, paired with a sweet little pocket knife and a cute little dog taken from an old tie clip…they make great “best friends”, don’t ya think??
There will be a LOT more – so hope to see some of my local friends on Saturday! Have a great weekend!
And, so I am wishing and a hoping you…
And a blessed New Year!
Hugs!
Kathy
P.S. What, no P.S.???? There’s always a P.S….just sayin’ – I usually don’t know when to stop!
