The Summer Market is a unique outdoor festival and benefit held in Avon Lake, Ohio, right on the shore of Lake Erie. Thousands of guests visit the Market each year to shop for furniture, jewelry, art, vintage items, fresh produce, home decor, and a variety of other goods from more than 65 vendors. Guests dine from three featured restaurants and listen to live music while watching the sun set or playing at the beach. It is a great event that should not be missed!

The Summer Market – 2013!!

Oh my goodness it’s almost time for The Summer Market (panic, we’re not in a panic…nope…not at all)!!, Summer is moving right along… Although, it seems we’re just now getting “real” summer weather – after a very unexpected – and extended rainy season – we’re off to 90 degrees and lots of sunny sunshine!)  And it’s already mid-July, so you know it’s crazy crafty/junky girl time…every last one of us vendors is on automatic pilot, and gittin’ r’ done!! 

There will be fabulously talented vendors and artists selling their unique wares – antique & vintage, repurposed and recycled/upcycled, restyled/redesigned, and everything in between!  A “sweet” group of food vendors will be on hand to make sure no one goes away hungry – happy for sure, but not hungry!  Music will fill the air, and fun will be the order of the show!  Shopping, food and music – what else does a person need???

This is our third year at The Summer Market (they are in their eighth year), and we’re all so excited!  We’ve met some wonderful people, and made new friends (and that’s always my goal!!),  We will be filling our trailer with furniture, lots of unique vintage/antique finds, and of course our recycled/repurposed, restyled/redesigned treasures – jewelry, collages, picture frames, wind chimes, signs, and LOTS more!

And, just to show off a bit…The Summer Market was noted as representing Ohio for the "Best Vintage Sale from Coast to Coast" in last summer's Flea Market Style Magazine!
