Next stop…The Rural Society Antique & Garden Show!

Alright folks, a new show for us this year, and let me tell you, the three girls at Nostalgia’s Cottage (that would be me, Terri & Susan) are over the moon excited to be a part of The Rural Society Antique & Garden Show (May 3rd and 4th)!

(Here is your invitation with all the details…and you can tell by the lady with the chicken on her head that it’s just gotta be fun, right??)

Oh, and don’t forget to “like” them on facebook too:  The Rural Society Antique & Garden Show

Here’s a “photo op”, we just couldn’t pass up (our first visit in fall 2011!)

And what a wonderful setting…the rolling hills of Knox County – just outside of Mt. Vernon, Ohio…

We have shopped the show for a couple years now (and love it), and have taken the plunge to be vendors – so, you know what that means…we’ve been hard at work/play finding even more treasures and fixer-uppers, and making jewelry and salvaged picture frames till the cows come home (farm reference…), so we can fill up our space (in the lower level of the barn)…

A couple of our favorite vendors/artists are also in this show…Lisa Maughmer of Urban Farmhouse…

Check out LIsa’s facebook page too and “like” – and see what she’s up to…

AND, “world traveler” Shannon Vance of Stash Style

Here’s Shannon’s facebook page – stop by and “like” and check out her adventures:

Shannon and Lisa are treasure hunters and stylists extraordinaire!!  So, be sure to stop by their spaces too!

There is no lack of the unique and the uber fabulous at this show.  Vendors fill up every building, the greenhouse, and some of the grounds, as well –– sooooo, be sure to wear your comfy shoes and drive a junkin’ “appropriate” vehicle…for all the fine things you’re going to want to buy!!

Here are a few pics to tempt you…

And, did I mention that they’re also going to have workshops available (provided by Broadway &Thresher)…click on their logo below for the scoop:

And, of course there is food available to keep your shopping energy level in high gear!!

And spots here and there to just sit and take in the scenery!

And beautiful flowers to start spring out right!

Well, last but not least, I wanted to share a few, really just a few pictures of what we’re bringing to the show…

A bit of furniture…with a bit of flair (there’s lots more where those came from)!

A rusty, dusty typewriter (well, we’ll dust it, but it’s rusted just right – so, leaving as is!)

Signs, signs – everywhere signs!

And an old metal clock case has gone to the DOGs!

And, BINGO is his name-o!!

And speaking of going to the dogs…

my “new” vintage dog licenses ala a bit o’ junk!

You can just follow along (yes, there are four-legged tour guides available), it’s gonna be a wonderfully fantastic weekend at Warwick Farm!

Take care, happy spring, and happy junking!!

Kathy…and Terri & Susan

P.S.  I’m thinking of wearing my bib overalls…you know they’d be oh so appropriate to our surroundings – just don’t tell my daughter, Kristen aka my personal fashion police, that I said that!

P.S.S.  My next post will be for SPRINGFIELD EXTGRAVAGANZA and THE VINTAGE MARKETPLACE (May 17, 18, 19)…coming soon (real sooooon…no stress here…) – with some pictures of our fabulous finds…and I know my friend, Sue Whitney, has some fun planned for us too…stay tuned!!  Until then, check out my Pinterest boards…

What an absolute beautiful setting. Since you're gonna be in the barn this time I'm changing it up just a bit. Sell to the hay darlin'!
