Well...TICK TOCK --- we're knee deep in it now - after our first visit to the estate sale and purchasing a mere 200 clocks...(Hickory, Dickory, Dock...our Saturday Finds Rock!) - WE WENT BACK! The owner called us and invited us to come back and see if there was anything else we wanted (ha ha - how dangerous is that??). Well, let me tell you - there was a LOT left and we bought the whole kit-and-kaboodle (as they say or used to say...) - all the clocks, and all the parts we could fit into our trailer.
And, so you're wondering what and how much we ended up with...well, our estimate is about 2,700 clocks (alarm clocks, travel clocks, and a few mantel, wall, and anniversary clocks). And, they're mostly in working order - especially the alarm clocks. But, even the ones that don't work will make great display pieces!
As far as parts - we've got a bazillion (it seems like anyway...) gears, faces, and lots of "inner workings" (don't know what any of it is called)!
Over the last month or so...Terri and I have spent a a lot of time sorting clocks (by kind, color, etc...) - We've got dozens and dozens BIG and BABY Bens. I've received quite a few emails, and I just want to let you know that I haven't forgotten you - and have responded to a few - this is a work in progress for us.
Here's what we're doing so far...
1. We've started selling some clocks and pieces/parts on ebay (seller name: terraeoz), so you can check there to see if you can find what you want.
2. We're also getting ready for our next show - Thanksgiving weekend (Nov. 28-29) at the Scott Antique Market in Columbus, Ohio at the Ohio State Fairgrounds (our space numbers are 2451 and 2452). Along with all the other wonderful vintage things we're selling - we'll have a huge display of clocks and parts (it's going to be so much fun to set up). AND we'll have lots of extras in our trailer if anyone wants to buy in "quantity". (We'll also be selling at the January show.)
3. We're hoping to sell to a few shops...
4. As I have time, I'm answering emails to see if I can fill some of your requests (I'm really going to try - it's just gonna take me a little while - especially since we've been getting ready for a show, and now the holidays are coming up). I received a ton of inquiries from near and far...and I apologize if I haven't been able to get back with everyone.
If you're still interested, please let me know what kind you're looking for, whether it matters if they work or not (some are just great "shelf pieces"), how many you might want (so far the prices have ranged from $10.00 to $40.00) - and where you're located so we can look at shipping costs, etc.
And, if you've already contacted me, you're welcome to send me a reminder if you haven't heard from me! ;)

Some people have asked if we had any watch faces/parts - the owner didn't have any for us to buy. (darn...)
As far as parts, again, we've got some listed on ebay (seller name: terraeoz).
So...here's a little peek at our day and all the "junk" we bought!
Down in the basement - we're all smiles, but we had a LOT of work to do, and thankfully had a few helpers too! Thanks to Alan, Amber and Tim!!!
This is a peek into the workshop area - there were lots of hours spent repairing clocks over his 55 year career...(sorry, it's a little blurry)
This was the "wall" of parts and clocks on the other side of his workbench. This cabinet was filled with travel clocks (yep, we boxed them all up!!).
Bins and more bins...
They were everywhere...
Stacks of parts - waiting to be packed into our trailer.
Well, now time to unload...(we filled the trailer, and three vehicles)
(oops - looks like they started to take a tumble!)
Well, the parts are out - "time" to unload our treasure chest of clocks!
Just another "Kodak" junk moment!
Bins of "Bens" - Big and little, black, white, cream, silver, and brown!
This is just one wall...we filled all four AND down the middle!
Anniversary clocks
These boxes are hiding lots of little treasures...pieces and parts!
Looks like some junk fun!
Piles of faces!
These are some of the rougher ones - but, what great age and patina!
(Even the junky ones are great!!)
Does anyone really know what time it is??? (Isn't that a song??)
Anniversary clock faces - (porcelain)
This one is called a "Cyclone"! Big Bens... A shabby pink Baby Ben!Silver/nickel Baby Bens.
Some little brown faced Baby Bens!
Mantle clocks
Simple and elegant, don't ya think?Oh so shabby, but how cool is that??
Time for a little color...
Green - one of my favorite colors!
We found this in a box - an old glass advertising clock face - it was broken, but too cool to throw out...now we'll have to figure out something to do with it!

These are all photography timers.
And we've got some great rusty ones too! Just a couple more... Well, hope you enjoyed our little piece of junk heaven.
P.S.
I was given the "Kreativ Blogger" award by a new blogging friend...Deb at Proper Prim . I've gotten so far behind in my blogging, I wasn't able to post it until now, and, Deb - I apologize for not doing it sooner. Please visit her site and see what she's up to - some great finds that she transforms into wonderful primitive pieces. With the Thanksgiving holiday coming up, I'll just refer you to my very first "Kreativ Blogger" award and hope that you visit the wonderful blogs I listed then. And be sure to let them know I sent you! :)

I am so envious--can't deny it! What a dream! I checked you out on ebay and left a bid for faces. This is a lot of work for you all but if you've got to work hard, I don't know what could be better than sorting clocks! (maybe, vintage fabric...)
